For similar sounds UE the word CUBE was with TUBE. While the spelling the same the pronunciation is not. This will be confusing and I think the word CUBE does not fit with tube (toob) or blue (bloo) for example.

Not all activities in Unit 9 provide opportunities to apply phonetic knowledge by decoding words with inflectional endings, including -er. Only "Double Trouble", "Don't Touch that Word", "Drop that E", and "See Y Change". It is recommended to include more opportunities to develop and reinforce this skill.
