Thank you for your feedback regarding the standards alignment in our teacher narratives. We want to clarify that our instructional materials have always been aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS), not to Common Core.
We understand how the use of the header “Standards for Mathematics” and the prefix “MA” before the standard may have caused confusion. These were labeling choices used for internal consistency and not indicative of Common Core alignment. To ensure clarity and avoid any future misinterpretation, we propose updating the teacher narratives to reflect “TEKS” as the section title and to remove the “MA” prefix from the standard.
