Thank you for your feedback. We will add a comma between "paper" and "pencils" on the materials list.
The paragraph is written as follow: Explain the strategies used to solved problems involving adding and subtracting within 10 using spoken words, concreted and pictorial models, and number sentences.
The 'd' from 'solved' and the 'd' from 'concreted' should be removed.
It is in the sentence in the paragraph under the heading "Standards for Math"
Thank you for your feedback. We will correct the spelling of "solve" and "concrete."
Missing a word:
Currently reads: "...asking pairs share their sets"
Should read: "...asking pairs to share their sets"
Also, the last sentence in the same paragraph should have a closed quotation.
1.6 A resources- Sorting Shapes and Understanding Attributes
Page 2- Exploration and Whole Class Discussion- line 6
Thank you for your feedback. We will update the sixth sentence in the Exploration & Whole Class Discussion section to read "Reconvene the class, asking pairs to share their sets." We will also add the missing closed quotation at the end of the paragraph.
The sentence reads: Good questons to ask are 'What do you see?', 'What do you think?' 'What do you wonder?'
Questons needs to be spelled as 'questions' and there should be a comma separating the last two questions.
Last sentence in the paragraph
Thank you for your feedback. We will correct the spelling of "questions" and add a comma between the second and third questions.
Teacher Say: The l in the word leave (Leave) should be capitalized as it is the start to a new sentence.
Optional Supplemental Resources- Teacher Resources- Determining the Value -Top of page 4 (PDF)
Thank you for your feedback. We will capitalize the "L" in leave.
The question is asking the student to decompose the number 75 and use the dials as a support. However, the tens dial is showing 7.5 and the ones dial is show 5. 7.5 tens equals 75 plus 5 ones would equal 80. There is only a 7 in the tens place, so only 7 tens and 5 ones. The dials should accurately represent this.
The tens dial at the bottom of the page
Thank you for your feedback. The dials are designed to work interdependently to represent a single number, much like the hands of an analog clock that move together to show time. The tens dial showing 7.5 is not meant to indicate 7.5 tens independently, but to visually support the idea that the number is approaching 75. This design encourages students to think conceptually about number composition and place value, rather than interpreting each dial in isolation.
In earlier lessons, when students first encounter the dials, they interact with them directly to explore how changes in one place value affect the others. This hands-on experience builds a strong foundation for understanding how the dials work together to represent a number. By the time students reach this lesson with a static screenshot, they have already developed the skills to interpret the dials as a unified representation. This approach supports deeper mathematical reasoning and opens up rich classroom discussions around number sense.
