Educator-led supplemental programs include educator guidance and recommendations for effective delivery and facilitation using a variety of instructional approaches.
The
Fifth Grade Teacher’s Guide features guidance and recommendations for effective delivery and facilitation through a variety of instructional approaches. The lessons incorporate explicit modeling, guided and independent practice, oral language development, encoding and decoding activities, and ongoing progress monitoring. In addition, the materials feature detailed educator actions, modeling procedures, guided practice routines, monitoring strategies, corrective feedback, and clearly defined expectations for student responses. The structured procedures outline step-by-step actions for educators and students, including modeling, dictation, guided application, accuracy checks, and independent practice.
The SRC includes additional recommendations to provide educators with resources for effective delivery and facilitation using different instructional approaches. For example, the “Educator Guidance: Supports for All Learners” document identifies multiple instructional methods and delivery structures, including oral language practice, guided dictation, written encoding, decoding practice, individual assessment, and flexible grouping. The materials also reference implementation across whole-group, small-group, and individualized settings, ensuring that educators have a range of strategies to support diverse learners.
